Early Affordable Housing Developments
In 1996, GAHP developed its first Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) apartment community, Bridge Point Apartments. From 1996 to 2008, the organization developed single family homes and townhomes and delivered first time homebuyer programs to help clients repair their credit and find down-payment assistance to purchase their first home. Below are GAHP's earliest housing communities and single home developments.


Located on the Southwest Mesa, the Bridge Pointe Apartments were the Greater Albuquerque Housing Partnership's first LIHTC development in 1996 and 1997. It featured 214 multi-family units targeted to both seniors and families.

Located in the Santa Barbara/Martineztown Neighborhood, San Ignacio Homes were GAHP's first affordable home ownership development featuring 13 single family unattached 3 and 4 bedroom homes.

Located in the Trumbull Village Neighborhood, the Bell Alcazar Homes were GAHP's first affordable home ownership development in the Trumbull Village Neighborhood. It features 7 single family unattached 3 bedroom homes.

Located in the Santa Barbara/Martineztown Neighborhood, High Cordero Homes features 9 single family unattached 2 and 3 bedroom homes with radiant floor heat and stained concrete floors.

Located in the Trumbull Village Neighborhood, Trumbull Village Homes were turned over to the GAHP to complete and market when another non-profit filed for bankruptcy. The development features 4 fourplexes, with 3 and 4 bedroom townhomes.

Located in the Trumbull Village Neighborhood, the Mesilla Bell Homes were part of a city design competition. Mahlman Miles architects won the competition for Four, 2 and 3 bedroom townhomes.

Located in the Santa Barbara/Martineztown Neighborhood, the Edith Crespin Homes feature 5 single family unattached 2 and 3 bedroom homes with radiant floor heat and stained concrete floors.

Located in the Santa Barbara/Martineztown Neighborhood, El Porvenir Homes feature 13 single family unattached 2 and 3 bedroom homes within a cul-de-sac.

Located in the Southeast Heights just west of Carlisle Boulevard, the Sunport Townhomes back the Puerto Del Sol Golf Course and feature 18, 3 bedroom 2 story townhomes with wonderful views of the West Mesa.
