Louis Kolker - Executive Director
Louis is the GAHP's Executive Director. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Syracuse University and Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of New Mexico. He has worked for over twenty-eight years with local governments and non-profit corporations in community planning development. The GAHP’s Executive Director since May 1998, he has overseen nine developments of over 110 new homes in four Albuquerque traditional pocket of poverty neighborhoods. His responsibilities include all aspects of the development process from initial site identification and preliminary site layout and design, to project completion and closeout including developing financial pro-forma and securing project financing and subsidies.
Rose Perez - Home Ownership Counselor
Rose is the Home Ownership Counselor at the GAHP. Rose brings 15 years of experience from Consumer Credit Counseling Services Southwest where she was a Bilingual Budget and Housing Counselor and Educator. Rose has also worked at Martineztown House of Neighborly Services as a Family and Community Service Coordinator. Rose has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Phoenix in Business Management. She has received Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation Institute training in housing counseling and is a HUD certified home ownership counselor in both English and Spanish. Rose provides bi-lingual home ownership counseling and home ownership education as well as financial literacy classes to first time low income homebuyers. Rose has been with the GAHP since 2002.
Karmen Gonzales– Administrative Assistant
Karmen is the GAHP's Administrative Assistant. She manages the GAHP's office on a day to day basis taking care of all aspects of GAHP's accounting including payroll, accounts receivables and account payables. She is responsible for all the GAHP's grants' drawdown requests and bank deposits. Now that the GAHP is managing some rental homes, she has also played a most valuable role in working with the tenants and managing those properties. Karmen an Associate of Arts Degree and would like to pursue her education further. Karmen has been at the GAHP since 2008.
