Joe Miera is the Associate Dean of the University New Mexico College of Continuing Education. Born and raised in the South Valley, Joe is a graduate of Rio Grande High School. He received his BA in Business Administration from Arizona State University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of New Mexico. Joe is now a Doctoral Candidate in the School of Education at the University New Mexico. A devoted husband and father of three, Joe still finds time to over see the GAHP Board. Joe joined the GAHP BOD in July 1998.

Ms. Andrea Guendelman - Secretary |

Andrea Guendelman is an attorney with Sutin, Thayer, & Browne in Albuquerque. Andrea received her law degrees from both the University of Chile and Harvard Law School. Prior to coming to Albuquerque, she served as the Counsel to the Office of the General Counsel for the Import and Export Bank of the United States where she negotiated financial and development agreements with Peru, Columbia, Romania and Mexico. A mother of two young children, Andrea serves as the GAHP Board Secretary. Andrea joined the GAHP Board in October 2007.

Mr. John Burch - Treasurer |

John Burch is the Membership Manager for New Mexico’s KNME Public Television and can often be seen on KNME raising funds and encouraging increased membership. A graduate of Louisiana State University, John has been involved in non-profit and corporate fund raising for the past 19+ years. John's membership on the GAHP BOD brings much appreciated expertise in both individual and corporate fund raising as well as financial management. As the Board's Treasurer, John advises the GAHP's Executive Director and Board on financial matters. John joined the GAHP BOD in December 2001.

Chris Calott is an adjunct professor at the UNM School of Architecture. A graduate of Brown and Princeton Schools of Architecture, Chris is an award winning architect with a practice focused on infill development and affordable housing. Chris lives in the Historic Downtown Neighborhood Area, and has dedicated himself to the City's downtown revitalization efforts. Chris's commitment to neighborhood revitalization and urban design excellence has contributed greatly to the GAHP efforts in developing quality well designed affordable housing opportunities. Chris joined the GAHP BOD in December 2000. |

Courtney Lawton is a teacher and community activist. A resident of the Santa Barbara/Martineztown Neighborhood, Albuquerque's second oldest neighborhood, she serves as the Secretary of the SB/MT Neighborhood Association. Courtney holds a French Baccalaureate from Lucee Alfred Mezieres, a Bachelor of Arts in English and French from the University of New Mexico, and her Master's Degree in Liberal Arts from St. Johns College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Courtney has taught at the Public Academy for the Performing Arts, the South Valley Academy, and now teaches at the Media Arts Collaborative School. Courtney joined the GAHP BOD in April 2009. |
Mr. Robert Lucero - Member |

Robert Lucero is a long time community activist with strong ties to the South Valley. After retiring from the State of New Mexico Department of Health, where he managed State wide programs on injury and violence prevention, Robert has worked as a Co-Director of Every Child Matters with Voices for Children and most recently as a Partenrship Specialist with the US Census Bureau. Robert holds a Bachelor od Arts in Geology and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Univesity of New Mexico. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Secondary Education. Robert joined the GAHP BOD in October 2010. |
