ABOUT GAHP
Since 1966, the Greater Albuquerque Housing Partnership has been highly successful in bringing the benefits of homeownership to more Albuquerque families. Working primarily in Albuquerque's older neighborhoods, the GAHP has built new homes and assisted first time, low income home buyer families realize the American dream of homeownership.
Long before the blueprints are drawn, the GAHP works with local neighborhood associations and residents, listening to their input, in order to create housing developments that truly reflect the needs and desires of the community.
As a result, the GAHP's new homes are well received and greeted as positive developments which add to the community's stability and pride.
The GAHP does more than just build and sell its new homes. To help families who otherwise might not be able to realize their dream of home ownership, the GAHP provides homeownership counseling and financial assistance to first time low income families. With the help of the GAHP's counseling staff, families know that when they go to qualify for a mortgage for their new GAHP home that they will qualify.
Increasing the ranks of homeownership in Albuquerque's older neighborhoods is good for all of Albuquerque and the GAHP is very proud of the work it does in making that happen.
